Precious Grandchildren
Keiko is looking at family photos with her landlady, Ms. Bailey.
Keiko: That's a great photo album, Ms. Bailey. YOur grnadchildren really are precious. What's in these dusty old shoe boxes over here?
Ms. Bailey: Oh, just old photos and papers I never threw away.
Keiko: These are quite old. Who's in this picture?
Ms. Bailey: That's my father as a young man back in the 1930's with some college friends. He was quite a gadfly, they say.
Keiko: The young man in the cigarette here looks like the architect Fred Lawrence Brown. And their laughing and drinking like good buddies.
Ms. Bailey: I wouldn't be surprised. My father was the kind of man who made friends everywhere he went.
